The Dubai board ranks on Average Daily Stepsover the last 7 completed days. Today doesn't count — it's still in progress. The 7-day window is long enough that one rest day doesn't crater you and short enough that a hot streak shows up fast.
Why averages instead of raw daily steps? Because the ladder has to be fair. A casual participant hitting 6,000 a day every day beats a marathoner who walks 25,000 once a week. Consistency wins. TheDubai#1 didn't spike — they showed up.
